My father introduced me to the game of golf at the early age of seven. I played on the Longwood High School Varsity Men’s Golf Team and was Captain in my senior year. During the summers, I competed in the Metropolitan Junior PGA tournaments where I received numerous first place position trophies as well as awards for Overall High Point total.
Upon graduation from Longwood High in 2000, I was recruited by Hofstra University Division I Athletics and signed a letter of intent for the Women’s golf team where I was team captain and played the number one position. I was the winner of the Ocean City Women’s Golf Collegiate Classic in 2003. In 2001 & 2002, I was awarded the Hofstra “Coca Cola Most Valuable Player” of the year, and in 2004 received the Hofstra Women’s Golf “Outstanding Senior Athlete” award.
I am currently an LPGA Apprentice and working towards my certification for LPGA Teaching & Club Professional. I will be available for lessons anytime to juniors, ladies or anyone eager to learn the game. I had the pleasure of becoming a member of the Spring Lake Golf Club staff in 2004. I am looking forward to another great season as a teaching professional and the new director of golf.
A series of Five 1/2 hour lessons with Cristy is $175.
